Esohe Weyden

Esohe Weyden is a poet, presenter and attorney-at-law. She graduated with a Master's degree in Law from the University of Antwerp, where she served as campus poet between 2021 and 2023. She is known for her spoken word performances, and her poems also come to life on paper.

In 2022, she debuted with her poetry collection "Tussentaal" which was nominated for the C. Buddingh' Prize, an annual prize for the best Dutch poetry debut. She also won the audience award at the PrixFintroPrize 2022 for Dutch literature. In 2024, she published a unique children's book about trying new things: "En morgen nog een keer." It's a cheerful story about the adventurous hair routines of children with curls or afro-textured hair.

She has presented her poetry on a wide variety of stages, from festivals like Crossing Border, Pukkelpop and Tomorrowland to the official parade of Belgium's national holiday.
