Jan Škrob

Jan Škrob (1988) is a poet and translator. He is the author of the books Pod dlažbou /Under the Pavement/ (2016), nominated for the DILIA Litera Award for Discovery of the Year, Reál (2018), nominated for the Jiří Orten Award, and Země slunce /Land of the Sun/ (2021). He is a co-recipient of the Dresden Lyric Prize 2018. He has appeared at literary festivals and poetry evenings at home and abroad, and his poems have been translated into many European languages.

He has held residencies in the Czech Republic, France and Croatia. He is a member of the Association of Writers and the Association of Independent Authors. He lives in Prague.
