Sophie Loizeau

Sophie Loizeau is a poet living in Versailles. Her work is characterised by the presence of nature and animals. Nature is intertwined with the fantastic, mythology, desire and sexuality.

The question of the female gaze has been the subject of three of her books (The Diana Trilogy). She is the author of the term impartial plural, which denotes a kind of « inclusive writing », which she feels does not capture the term, in her linguistic attempts to remove the feminine from the implicit.

Significant collections of: Panic Poems, personal anthology 1999-2020 (October 2024); The Island of the Arctic Fox in To Kirsikka (2024); Rain Monks (novels, 2024); Red Thorns (2022); Feria (2020); Wolves (2019) (Grand prix Vénus Khoury-Ghata 2020); My Coach (2017); The Diana Trilogy: Caudal (2013) (Prix François Coppée de l'Académie Français 2014); A Novel of Diana, Poésiefiction I (2013); The Reading Woman (2009), among others.
